Taina began dancing consistently in 2016, joining a range of local Grand Rapids dance groups centered on hip hop and building community across West Michigan. She is currently a member of Essence Mvmt Collective, where she has competed in numerous dance competitions, including World of Dance Chicago and Prelude Midwest, and performed at showcases such as Grand Rapids Ballet and Club Detroit. These opportunities allow her to grow outside of her role as a teacher.

Taina considers herself a forever student, regularly taking classes at dance conventions including Monsters, Reveal Chicago, and most recently the Dance Teachers Web Conference in Las Vegas. Her focus on continual training keeps her teaching current and connected to the wider dance community. She has taught Hip Hop at Dance United since 2021.
