The Common Thread
Step away from the screen and into a space where the finest thing we create is community. The Common Thread is a monthly gathering designed to celebrate the hands-on skills that connect us all. Each month, we explore a new craft, whether it’s the geometry of origami, the tactile world of clay, or the modern artistry of customizing your own gear. These hands-on projects create a natural rhythm, allowing conversation and connection to flow as we work.
We believe that when our hands are busy, our hearts are open. These gatherings aren't about perfecting a skill; they are about the shared joy of learning something new alongside people you might not otherwise meet. Whether you’re holding a crochet hook for the first time or sharing a technique you’ve used for years, you’re part of a living tradition. Recipes for Connection
They say the heart of every home is the kitchen, and at Creativity Unites, the table is always open. Recipes for Connection is a regular gathering where neighbors of all ages come together to explore the traditions that nourish us.
From the art of hand-rolling pasta to the science of the perfect bake, these sessions are about more than just a finished meal. We provide space for 'kitchen wisdom' to be passed down and for new flavors to be discovered side by side. Whether you’re a seasoned home cook or just learning your way around a recipe, you’re invited to pull up a chair. Come for the food, stay for the stories, and leave with a taste of what it means to be a community.

This partnership brings together the rhythm of movement and the power of visual storytelling. By combining Dance United’s technical expertise with Creativity Unites’ focus on collaborative design, we are creating a space where every age group can find its place in the spotlight.
Our Collaborative Programs
Multigenerational Dance Classes: Experience the joy of movement across ages. These sessions are designed to foster connection between generations, allowing adults and youth to learn from one another while sharing the dance floor.
Pre-K Summer Camps: A playful introduction to the arts for our youngest creators. These camps blend foundational dance steps with tactile art projects, helping preschoolers build confidence and motor skills in a supportive, high-energy environment.
Summer Production: Puss in Boots. Our cornerstone event of the season! While Dance United choreographs the story on stage, Creativity Unites leads the behind-the-scenes effort. Community members will work side-by-side to bring the story to life through:
Set Design: Creating backdrops and props that work well on the outdoor band shell stage at Kollen Park.
Costuming: Creating costumes for a full cast of characters.
