Catie Hauch

Catie believes creativity belongs to everyone, not just those who call themselves artists. In September 2025, she founded Creativity Unites, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit using creativity to build a stronger, more connected community in Holland, Michigan.

Her path began in 2019, when she launched Dance United on a simple idea: use dance to build not just great dancers, but excellent people. Over seven years, it grew to six instructors and 255 weekly class enrollments, earned industry recognition for the character of its dancers, and launched a Mindful Movement partnership with Holland Public Schools that supports special education students through movement. On July 1, 2026, Dance United became Creativity Unites' flagship program.

Today, as the organization's only full-time staff member, Catie does whatever the work calls for, a hands-on approach that keeps Creativity Unites nimble and deeply connected to the community it serves.

She has taught dance since 2003, including internationally, coached individuals and teams since 2015, holds a Master's in Coaching, and is a Certified Autism Specialist. Her background also includes work as a Communications Director, grant compliance support for the City of Holland, service on the City of Holland Southshore Business Improvement District Board, and helping found community organizations including Eighth Day Farm, Washington School Neighbors, and Westcore Neighbors.

A graduate of Hope College's nationally recognized Phelps Scholars Program, she brings a lasting commitment to inclusion and community into everything she leads.
